Copper pipes or PVC: Resists corrosion and impact damage better
than copper pipe because plastic doesn't corrode, and because PVC pipe is thicker
than copper pipe. This means it's better for areas where the pipe will be exposed in
high-traffic areas. This is because PVC doesn't conduct heat as well as copper does.
Can you mix plastic and metal plumbing: Making the connection
between plastic pipes such as ABS or PVC and metal pipes such as copper or galvanized steel is
very straightforward. The chemicals used in the manufacture of any of these pipes do not react
with one another, so you don't have the corrosion factor to worry about.
What type of PVC is used for water lines: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) —
Another material popular for the modern plumbing system pipe, PVC is a white or grey pipe used
for high-pressure water, most commonly the main supply line into the house. It isn't as flexible as
PEX, making it less appropriate for smaller interior spaces.
What are the applications of fitting:
Such work is carried out manually using fitting and assembly tools, attachments, and machine tools.
Fitting work includes laying out, various cutting operations, filing, threading, bending and straightening,
lapping, drilling, countersinking, reaming, riveting, and soldering.
